Blending elements of folk, pop, and jazz, ReeVay aims to combine complex jazz-inspired arrangements with simple harmonic structures and thought-provoking lyrics that recall artists such as Leonard Cohen and Cat Stevens. His debut single “Dream” was released in September 2020. The song is currently in circulation on Vancouver Co-Op Radio and has been featured in the Tinnitist and Sounds on the Couch.
ReeVay is vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Marc Rivest. He holds a diploma in Jazz Studies from Capilano University and has studied under musicians including Bill Coon, Ron Samworth, Geordie Roberts, and Steve Maddock. ReeVay performs frequently in the Lower Mainland. Highlights have included FallenFest 2021, Live Acts Canada’s Unplugged in BC concert series, a summer contract with Lonsdale Quay, and the grand opening of North Vancouver’s Shipyards. He is currently beginning preproduction for a full-length album to be released in November 2021.
